The 2025 General Election saw a four-way race, with the PLP’s Alexa Lightbourne winning the seat with 300 votes [47.69%], the OBA’s David Rogers second with 204 votes [32.43%], the FDM’s Kyle Bridgewater third with 70 votes [11.13%] while Independent Noelle Young was fourth with 55 votes [8.74%].
Since the one seat system started in 2003, the PLP have won Devonshire North West in 5 General Elections and the OBA have won it once.
This seat has some unique history, as the then Premier, the PLP’s Paula Cox, lost the seat in the 2012 General Election, and returned in the 2017 election to run as an independent.
