The 2025 General Election saw a three-way race, with the PLP’s Owen Darrell winning the seat with 421 votes [75.58%], the OBA’s Malachi Symonds second with 83 votes [14.90%] while Independent Willie Ferguson was third with 53 votes [9.52%].
Widely regarded as a ‘PLP safe seat,’ the PLP have won Pembroke East in all the General Elections since the one seat system started in 2003, always earning over 75% of the vote.
In the 2020 General Election, the PLP’s Walter Roban earned the highest winning percentage of all seats with 93.20%.
