The 2025 General Election saw a three-way race, with the OBA’s Michael Fahy winning the seat with 403 votes [73.01%], the PLP’s Iesha Musson second with 87 votes [15.76%] while Independent Vic Ball was third with 62 votes [11.23%].
Widely regarded as an ‘OBA safe seat,’ the OBA or UBP have won the seat in all 6 General Elections since the one seat system started in 2003.
The Constituency Boundaries Report [PDF] states: “Constituency #20 Pembroke South West shall be all that land contained within a line drawn from the junction of King Street and Front Street; thence East along the centreline of Front Street to the entrance of Hamilton Dock; thence South along the Eastern boundary of Hamilton Dock to a point on the coastline; thence West along the coastline of Hamilton Harbour and continuing around Point Shares peninsula to a point on the coastline in Mill Creek at the end of Traveller’s Lane; thence along the centreline of Traveller’s Lane to the junction with St. John’s Road; thence East along centreline of St. John’s Road to the junction with Pitts Bay Road; thence South along the centreline of Pitts Bay Road to the junction with Serpentine Road; thence East along the centreline of Serpentine Road to the junction with Dundonald Street West; thence East along the centreline of Dundonald Street West continuing along the centreline of Dundonald Street to the junction with King Street; thence South along the centreline of King Street to the junction with Front Street and shall include Cat Island, Partridge Island, Goose Island, Bird Island, Goat Island, Stipple Island, Agar’s Island, Mowbray Island and Saltus Island.”
